Umicore Nowa Ruda at the 2nd Zone Job Fair in Wałbrzych
On Friday, February 23rd, we had the pleasure of participating in a remarkable event, II Zone Job Fair in Wałbrzych, organized by the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest Park. It was a unique opportunity for inspiring conversations with candidates and also a chance to build bridges between Umicore Nowa Ruda and individuals seeking new career challenges. See how it went for us!
Bridging connections with candidates
Like last year, we headed to Galeria Victoria, where over 20 other exhibitors from Wałbrzych and the entire Wałbrzych subregion awaited. The atmosphere was great - the energy and enthusiasm of job seekers were palpable, and our booth quickly became a focal point for candidates focused on development and success at Umicore. But that's not all!
Besides discussions about career opportunities, candidates could fill out applications, obtain valuable contacts, and even have their photo taken for their CV, which would support them in quickly finding satisfying employment. Apart from exploring available job offers, participants could also learn why living and working in Wałbrzych is worthwhile.

Representatives from In Vałbrzych informed all guests about housing options and current investments in the city. Additionally, they distributed tickets to key locations in Wałbrzych in a fair lottery, places that must be visited to discover this city’s changing, historical character.
Impact of job faires on the local community
The significance of this event for the local community cannot be overstated. One resident expressed their thoughts: "Job fairs are definitely needed, because there is a lack of work here in Wałbrzych. Especially for young and educated people."
